Fall Updates

Electrical WorkThis fall Mayer Bulding Company has a some exciting projects upcoming. We were awarded two mid size commercial projects that should kick off towards the end of the month. We continue to perform quality historic renovation and remodel work in the French Quarter and the Riverbend, turning over one exterior improvements project near on Barracks and an interior update to an oversized Craftsman home on Hickory Street.

Our in-house crew is expanding with the addition of Andrew Goodrow, Project Superintendent and our sister company, Guild Carpentry, has made several new hires throughout October.

As always, we keep an eye on recycling and repurposing construction materials: We delivered a box of miscellaneous plumbing parts and a dozen shower heads to the Green Project during our small project at the US Coast Guard Station. We purchased scrapped cypress from the Preservation Resource Center’s yard for an outdoor kitchen. We are currently restoring 1840-something door hardware at 510 Esplanade.
